ABOUT THE ROSLYN
FIRE DEPARTMENT

History

The Roslyn Fire Department was founded in 1886 and is the oldest operating Fire Department in Kittitas County. Founded by the Northwest Improvement Company the department started as a mine rescue company. At the time there were two fire departments in town, and you had to pay them to put out a fire!

Roslyn Fire is an all-volunteer Department.
